Meet the Horses

Mocha is the old man at the barn! I got this
horse when he was a 2 yr old, he was my 4-H project when I was a kid.
He was shown hunter/jumper, western and in gymkhana classes back in the
day. He is retired for the
most part, but he does still like to go out on occasion. At nearly age
90 in human years, I think he has earned his retirement! (horses age
at a rate of about 3 to 3.5 years per human year) This photo was taken on a ride in July of 2008. |

Bo is a 10 year old Quarter Horse gelding with lots of personality. He likes to have fun and plays all of the time. One of his favorite tricks is to let himself out of his stall when you are not looking! What a Smarty Pants! Oh yeah..... he LOVES the water, can't you tell?? He is a great lesson horse and is also one of our lead trail horses. |

Cabbie is a pretty 12 year old Paint mare who is a nice trail horse. She came to Florida in Nov. 2007 with her brother, Laredo. They came from NC and love the winters here! She is very uniquely marked with flea-bitten gray and white patches. Even the vets have commented on her cool coloring! |

Misty is a 14 year old American Mustang. She is what is called a grullo dun (referring to her color). She has a wide, black dorsal stripe down her back and tiger stripes on her legs! She loves to lead and I can even pony another horse with her! |

Roper is a cute 9 year old Half Arabian. He is fun to ride, but can get a little sassy at times. He is a great horse to lead a trail ride on, but is also quiet enough for most riders. |

Dixie is a 17 yr old Quarter horse mare. She is one of our lesson horses and is super on the trails. She is very quiet and loves to be with Misty. A nice horse for just about anyone to ride. |

Laredo has gone back to NC to my daughter Tara. He is happier having only one owner/rider. Laredo is a 13 yr old paint gelding who came from NC with his sister Cabbie. He is a good boy, but does require a strong rider who pays attention because he can get a little pushy at times and sometimes things look spooky to him. |

Happy is a 16 year old Appaloosa mare. She has been shown in Pony Club and is one of our lesson horses and even likes to hit the trail! She has done many Florida Experience rides and has been to Deer Prairie Creek. |

Princess is a cute little 13 yr old Appaloosa /Paint cross (Paintaloosa, I think they are calling it nowadays) mare. She is extremely patient with everyone. What a good girl! She has taken care of riders from 4 to 74! |

Bonnie is a beautiful 8 yr old Haflinger mare. She is an awesome driving horse and if fun to ride. We use her for riding and driving lessons as well as for trail riding. You are sure to fall in love with her! |
