Deer Prairie Creek is absolutely beautiful!
This 6700 acre preserve has miles of hammock trails
that travel down the Myakka River. You are sure to see plenty of wildlife!
Experienced riders who wish to ride here can call for a reservation.
This is a full day ride and does include a picnic lunch.
$250 for a single rider
$190 each for 2 riders
$180 each for 3 riders
$175 each for 4 or 5 riders (5 rider maximum)

This pic is a little washed out (the sun was really bright), but it shows the nice wide, mowed trails that are perfect for getting in a nice canter! (Just have to watch out for the hogs and armadillos that like to hide in the weeds) |
This map shows the extensive trail system in the preserve. Greg and I started at the yellow star at the top left and did the blue trail that goes along the river and we were out for just over 2 hours..... we haven't even scratched the surface. I can't wait to go exploring again!
